Header/Footer templates for PDF Maker

Nowadays I’m using about 85 templates within PDF-Maker. I guess most professionals using combined vtiger/PDFMaker, need quite a bunch of different PDFMaker templates for their business needs. May not for all templates but I bet, you do not need more then 2-3 different header and footer contents over all your templates. May you need different settings, but the content is often or always quite the same. Isn’t it?

In the very beginning, the current PDFMaker header/footer handling is not a big problem for anyone. One can copy and paste the header/footer html-code from one template to another. But later then, when quite a lot of templates with similar header/footer content exists and there is e.g. a

· personal change in management;

· brand redesign;

· new legal requirement;

· new bank account (remember SEPA)

· new address, phone number and so on …

you always have to manually step through all of your templates to change header/footer manually. I had to do it a dozen times within the last 3 years. What a pain. How nice would it be, to be able to create and store special header and footer templates. Similarly to what is realized for Product Blocks already. So I ask to enable the creation of header/footer templates and the possibility to choose them from within templates header/footer section while creating a new PDFMaker template – and that’s the difference to Product Block templates – to make real sense, header/footer templates must not only be able to be inserted once at the creation of a new template but to be linked with it permanently. Only this brings the effort to change a header/footer template once and make sure that all linked templates are immediately using the latest version of this certain header/footer.
